A small set of clear photographs can support a plumbing report. It should show the place, symptom, and relevant context without requiring unsafe access or exposing unnecessary personal information. You can call without photographs if taking them would put you near a hazard.

Begin with one wide view

Show the fixture or equipment in relation to the room. Include a fixed landmark that helps another person understand the location. Avoid a close-up so tight that nobody can tell which connection or surface it shows.

If safe, add one closer view of the visible condition and one readable equipment label. Do not reach behind hot equipment, step into water, remove a cover, or lift a heavy part to improve the picture. Do not recreate the leak or run an appliance again for the camera.

Add context in a separate note

Record when the image was taken, when the symptom was first noticed, and what was happening then. Distinguish a wet surface from a confirmed source. A photograph of water below a pipe does not prove that pipe caused it.

Keep earlier and later images labeled so an old stain is not confused with a new event. If the provider supplies repair photographs, keep its explanation with them. Images are easier to interpret when connected to a location and work record.

Share only with a known recipient

Keep faces, private papers, account numbers, payment information, and security details out of the frame. Review the photo before sending it and ask the actual provider which channel it uses. This website has no photo-upload endpoint and does not receive an attachment through its telephone link.

Retain your original record privately. The provider's handling of photos is governed by its actual practices, which should be explained by that business. Use privacy for the website's limited data path and after the repair for documenting a returning symptom without repeatedly testing the fault.
